This year the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP) has been celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The Conference was founded on 7 June 1997 by rectors of higher education institutions, being members of conferences of rectors of the various types of these institutions, namely universities, technical universities, institutions of agriculture, pedagogy, economics, medicine, and fine arts. CRASP was formed by Polish institutions of higher education which had the right to awared doctoral degrees.
The official jubilee meeting took place at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology on 8-9 June 2017.
This occasion gave us an opportunity to sum up and evaluate what had been achieved.
CRASP in numbers:
- 108 members (including 12 non-public schools) + 9 associate members representing 1.1 milion students (ca. 75% of student population in Poland)
- 10 permanent committees and Bologna Group
- 102 Presidium and 35 Plenary Assembly meetings
- ca. 60 opinions on regulations concerning science and higher education every year
