New CRASP Presidium has taken office
During the CRASP Plenary Assembly held in Koszalin, new authorities for the term of office 2008-2012 were elected.
Prof. Katarzyna Chałasińska-Macukow, Rector of the University of Warsaw, was elected President of CRASP, while Prof. Adam Hamrol, Rector of Poznan University of Technology, and Prof. Janusz Zmija, Rector of Agricultural Univesity in Krakow, were elected Vice-Presidents of CRASP. The outgoing President, Prof. Tadeusz Luty, was appointed Honorary President of CRASP.
The new CRASP authorities took office on 1 September 2008. The full composition of CRASP Presidium can be found in the Authorities section.
ICHEM 2008 Conference
International Conference on Higher Education Marketing (ICHEM) 2008 Marketising, Marketing and Higher Education Kraków, April 2nd – 4th 2008
On behalf of the Academy of Marketing Special Interest Group for the Marketing of Higher Education, all scholars, academics, practitioners and consultants were invited to contribute to the third International Conference on Higher Education Marketing (ICHEM).
The conference was held at Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland. The aim of the conference was to strengthen research in higher education from any perspective, country or international aspect. The main theme of the 2008 conference was “Marketising, Marketing and Higher Education”.
Poland International Education Conference Warsaw 2008
The first international conference in Poland focusing on the process of internationalisation of higher education was held in Warsaw on April 16-18, and gathered professionals from all over the world.
Speakers representing EU and government policy makers, higher education institutions, NGOs as well as academic scholars and researchers presented and discussed the latest topics in contemporary and prospective internationalisation of higher education issues.
EUA Autumn Conference 2007 at Wrocław University of Technology
In the days 25-27 October 2007, Wrocław University of Technology organised the EUA Autumn Conference 2007, along with the EUA Council and EUA General Assembly sessions.
The university hosted over 300 people, including Rectors of the European universities associated in EUA, as well as Presidents and Secretaries General of national Rectors’ conferences. The special guests included Prof. Michał Seweryński, the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education, Prof. Jerzy Buzek, member of the European Parliament and former Prime Minister of Poland, and Prof. Norman Davies, the famous historian and proponent of Polish history.
The conference theme focused on the issues of university governance, independence, and its relationships with the state.
